Rockin Baja Lobster... what a menu, so many delectable options that I left the decision to my server, who picked Fajitas Fantastico. A table for one was not too difficult on a Sunday afternoon. It was lightly busy, and at the time, service was on the slower end. Once the order was placed, the food came out quickly in 15 minutes, and two people came to check in on me. For starters, the carne asada was on the tough, BUT the shrimp were crisp and cooked well. The lobster tail was also very tasty, and all laid on top of a chopped veggies - all well seasoned, though a tad too salty and sweet for me. On the sides were beans, rice, sides, and four tortillas, which were immediately devoured - yum! For ~ $40 it was definitely on the pricier side, but for lobster and the portions of everything else, it was well worth it. I would also mention that this is definitely worth sharing with a friend, because it's quite a bit of food!

Very good value for the money. I had the bowl with salmon, my friend had salmon tacos. Service was fabulous. Luke was charming, offered great suggestions and his personality lit up the experience.

Caught a late lunch in this nice bar/restaurant. Had a very friendly and helpful server. I got the lobster roll. They could go a little gentler with the meat and use a bit less salt. But the bun was nice and buttery/toasted and I really liked the slaw.

4 for consistency. Rockin is consistent. This place is a laid back casual restaurant that brings the concept of Puerto Nuevo to the states. While the two are not comparable it brings the concept. Place is fun, good tvs to watch all the games. Variety of cocktails available. The Baja bucket does feed two!! The lobster are small, but good. Shrimp is great, the carne asada was a thicker cut, cooked juicy to order (recommend medium). The Corn Ribs were an interesting spin on Mexican street corn. Highly recommend the queso and salsa sampler for an appetizer. Service was great. Our server was friendly and provided everything we needed to go (even threw in a fresh container of rice and beans since the bucket comes unlimited.

When I took a breather from the bustle of comic con and jokingly suggested to get lobster as a reward, I didn't think it would be possible. Located down the street from the SDCC in the Gaslamp quarter was this place, with a short wait to boot. Comic Con policy meant no happy hour prices, so our appetizers ended up being a bit pricey. In addition, there was a 40 minute time limit on the table from when our food was served, which rushed us a bit. Regardless, our server was super friendly and gave us reminders of our time limit when she checked in on us. The big bucket was more like a platter, but 4 lobster tails, 12 shrimp, corn, chicken AND carne asada along with sides of rice, beans, and tortillas filled 3 people up for $79. The seafood was the clear winner, while the chicken and carne asada were dryer and tougher. The corn was perfectly juicy and grilled as well. If there wasn't a time limit, I would have had the opportunity to digest and eaten without rushing, so I will have to come back on a non CC weekend to assess once more. (Preferably during happy hour)
